A/C in the seats

anybody know if you can add A/C to seats with heat? or add a/c at all? or if there are any leather seats with a/c that would go in our car?

The McGyver / Red Green solution

1. Buy yourself a 12 volt camper fridge (with ice maker) Install it in the back seat

2. Buy a 50 gallon water tank. Install it in the trunk.

3. Run a hose from the tank to the fridge (to supply water for the icemaker).

4. Place a pan below the driver's seat.

5. Run a pipe from the icemaker to the pan, to automatically route the freshly made ice cubes to the pan.

6. Plug the fridge in, and your bum will stay nice and cool....

I am such an a**hole....

yeah you cod probably do it you just have to get fans that would push air( probably online places that sell fans to cool amps) and get preforated lethor seats and then do it like in the diagram on the MB site

adding AC to our seats would entail re-wrapping them in custom-cut perforated leather, not to mention the mini fans, and all the other stuff.... Id say 6-8 grand for front seats only.

I highly doubt anyone makes seats that would fit our cars with ac in them... There is VERY little aftermarket support for our cars, even with things so simple as Cold Air Intakes and certain suspension parts..

deffinatly not anywhere near 6-8 grand , seeing that an entire custom interior would only be 2500 ( at most) and if you have any common sense you cna cut holes in foam and make vents

2500.. but how much do those little fan units and their related ducts cost? 10 units per seat at least... and its not like you have a lot of manufacturers to choose from...

sorry for any mis-information, that was just my guess. its also my guess that Tyson will knock out Lewis, so dont think much of them.

well the reason I want the seat ac is because leather does not breath and it makes my back and but all sweaty!!!! I'd rather have a/ced seats then heated actually and Tyson shouldn't be fighting thats just BS that those people are actually letting him step into a ring

Leather is made from cow skin, which has pores just like human skin. It does breath, it just doesn't absorb sweat like cloth seats do.

no offence but maybe shed some pounds? you shouldn't be sweating like a pig with the AC on full.

If you're trying to get that for the Acura, well they do not exist.

The vented seats is an option for the E55 so it's not a standard option for the Benz.

I know someone who has an E55 with that option and the leather seats have small holes in the entire seat that allows the air to flow out the leather.

It kicks on multiple fans in the seats to pump air through the bottom (seat) of the leather and the back of the leather.

It helps people from not sweating on the seats.
It pushes air from the vents so it's not really an additional A/C but the cold air from the car's A/C is used.

You can hear the fan with the car is idle and not moving without radio.

go to michigan

or some other pl;ace with no fault insurance. Take a 73 chevy full size pickup truck, find a mercades with ac seats and broad side him off the rev limiter in 5th. Total the ****er, find it in the salvage yard and buy the seats for 2k max.

i dont care if they are king tuts seats, no car intierior is gonna cost 8k used. all you have to do is locate yourself a totaled one with the interior in the junk yard. Find one with a torn a/c seat maybe then gety the seats for dirt and recover them.

best luck

btw, did i say theres no car interior worth 8k? you could go to the smithsonian and steal wolfgang von bethovens chair and mount it in there for under that.
