Anyone have any aftermarket leads for a new A/C Condensor fan motor for a 1998 2.5TL?

$200+ for OEM seems a little on the steep side.

Bearings are gone in mine and are making a heck of a racket.

I bought a generic one that Rockauto had listed under the car and condensor heading, but it doesn't even come close to fitting. Not amused...

 

why not just go to a salvage or junkyard.. ebay??

Well, used ones were $100+ and you never know how long they will last...

I sent my wife off to AutoZone, but she ended up at Advance Auto Parts...they all look the same to her...they were extremely helpful*

Part number 35288, fan motor. Factory Air by 4Seasons. Made in Canada too. The Acura part number is 38616-P1R-004.


Easy fit. Same height, fan fit on perfectly, and the mounting tangs and bolt holes lined up great.

Had to splice in the Honda harness, but that was easy. Blue is positive BTW.

$46.99, less 10% military discount, plus taxes. Cannot complain for $45.26!

Lifetime warranty as well. Engine bay is super quiet now.
