Unhappy Broken Wheel Studs

I just recently bought a new set of tires, come to find out that three out of five wheel studs are screwed up on the front driver side wheel. I just had hell trying to fix this problem. I've seen all the diagrams, read all instructions, used all kinds of tools, but I can't seem to get the wheel hub off of the damn car. Guess I gotta give in to the damn mechanic. If anyone out there has had this problem and fixed it themselves, please lend a helping hand.

Thanks in advance,
smooth

A HUB is the piece that spins on the end of the axle that your wheel attaches to. The STUDS are the threaded pices that go into it and which you torque the wheel nuts on (like a bolt without a head). I haven't ever had to take the hub off on this car, but it shouldn't be THAT bad....

Got lucky and worked out a deal with my mechanic. He replaced them all for only $55. Thats a steal compared to the dealership price.

Taking the hubs off is a complete pain in the arse. I had to replace both front axles on our 2.5TL back in August. Was not a fun project.
