Brake Switch Replacement DIY / Voltage Meter
I need to replace my brake switch, so I will do a DIY on it. My car just hit 100k, and the brake switch seems to be something that goes out on "older" cars. Also, if you guys read the SOUNDS SYSTEM thread, I posted my pictures of my custom voltage gauge by the shifter in the center console. While I'm down there, I might as well take pics of how a did it. I'll update this thread with pics later today.

I had a momentary problem w/ my 2.5TL brake switch. The switch was sticking in the open (full up) position, brake lights would not come on, and shift could not be moved from Park.
I looked under the dash to see if perhaps there was a wire loose or connector problem. Nothing obvious and I could barely touch the switch w/ one hand. Removal looks verrrry difficult. I'll be interested to read of your experience.
I was able to "repair" my switch by spraying a heavy dose of WD40 onto the switch. It started working and has since.
good luck
