brake light.
hey guys i tried putting in the inspire lights and when i put them in i got a light that came on that said brake . it right under the trunk light indicator on the speedo. the one that shows wat door is open. anyway i read bout it in owners man. and all it says is light mayb burned out. i tried changing bulb and nothin. not when i turn lights on it works but when u push the brake pedal it doesnt.......and its not the bulb ive tried 5 diff ones. anyone run into this/no how to fix??? thanks guys

naw.. the relay is reverse on inspire and our lights.. what i am assuming u did was just install the lights and plug the harness into the bulbs already there... u have to remove all the bulbs and put the bulbs from ur stock lights in.. u will not use the extra parking light there... if u notice carefully, our relay sits on the left light.. in japan it is reverse.. their relay is on the right one..

It is your bulb, it is busted. Check your high mount brake light or one of the tail lights' brake light. When you were installing your inspires, you probably busted one of the bulbs. Our car senses the brake bulb if it is not working, it is a safety issue.

Try using your old harness. That's what I did, when I bought my Inspire tails, I did not get the harness. I had to be creative to install the park lights though. That's a topic of its own. If I were to do it again, I could have just diabled the park light, take out the bulb and tape it up. I ended up putting a hole and in so doing got the plastic into the chamber, so now, I have bits of black all over the place...nobody knows, but I do.
