Love 'em! I would use them in a differnt manner... with super advanced LEDs to be even brighter... unless the camera is just not doing them justice. I would have amber markers, parkinglights and signals accentuating the blue LEDs, and the only other blue light would be the main headlight and custom angeleyes (ring around foglights, which will remain 3000k)... but that's my future plan after running with your idea ;D

Seriously, post a DIY for us!

I think it looks pretty good at night. I'd love to have LED's like that instead of my DRL's.

I just saw them in Advanced Auto so i measured them and it worked; just some minor cutting and u end up some nice foglights...they are 20$ btw
as far as diy its very simple. The only issue when u cut the plastic on cornerlights make sure to cut less on the top so u have space to attach the brackets.

I kinda like the Audi-look of Pete-tl's better... yours are a solid bar... his are dotted giving it a different feel. One thing which may be weird is that I'll have those blue LEDs but when I signal it'll be amber signals... haha

EDIT - HOLY SHIT, I just noticed that lovely grille billet. I have a similar concept... was going for an American towncar look...

His are dotted, actually. Since they're brighter than Pete's, they look like a solid bar in pics. Also, the design of the little cups around each LED blends the light all together since these are intended as daylights. I have the same ones and they have been sitting for almost 2 years.

~Cheers~

Well then, he has the ones I want... I would be adding them within the housing though, so that I could retain the turn signal behind them. Basically I would keep everything stock except add a blue LED dotted-line to the turn signal, and add a blue angeleye ring around my foglights... [of course I'd change the colour of the headlight]

I had to distinguish the blue-dotted line because essentially all my lights will be LED, including the amber parkinglights and signals which are LEDs. All LED lights except for HID foglight and I'm not sure about my headlights yet... maybe a lamp or projector? Nevermind, I remember now... I wanted a 10000k lamp--is that the darkblue lights? I am looking for the darkblue, not purple, HIDs... I just don't know if they are 10,000k or 12,000k

Do you really mean blue, or hyper-white? Blue'd get SFPD on you in a heartbeat.

Stas' are inside the housing.

Police only care about the colour of turnsignals and reverse lights, even the bulb colour even if they project white they cannot be blue bulbs. They lightened up on tints and blue-lights [maybe hyper-white?] due to so many new cars coming out with these as stock options. Basically, it is like your headlights except a darker tone... not as blinding. Originally I avoided blue lights because they are offensive... it is harder for eyes to adjust back to night vision. However, I've seen too many new cars with stock lights [maybe hyper-white?] that look lovely when accented with amber markers. That Amber/Blue looks is sexy. The only thing that'll contrast are my foglights when I entre those foggy parts of the bay.

I was going to get the JDM taillaights with whited out signals, and throw some red LED lights for the signals... but there is speculation CA may pass a law prohibiting red turnsignals soon... plus amber is safer considering. So I'm keeping my amber signals ^_^

Police care about everything! Tell what you said to the cop that pulled me over for having "eight headlights" two years ago. He counted the parking lights as headlights because they are partially facing forward...

Anyhow, I'm sure you've seen the Armenian M5 rolling around with straight up BLUE halos. Last time I saw him, he had 5 squad cars surrounding him and the cops were all outside looking at them. They can slap impersonating a peace officer on you and that's all bad.

Tint up here in NorCal is BS. In SoCal, even CHP has 5% tint all around due to the heat.

~Cheers~

Whoa, when you said blue you meant blue... I was talking about like a cool-white shade of blue--so I guess hyper-white was the right choice of words? I think what I'm looking for is something akin to 10,000k HIDs.

Of course blue lights are illegal. I hate these tinting laws. In Florida there are cars driving around with their front windshield tinted like a giant lens from sunglasses. They of course have all the windows down and a drop-top.

I won't have that problem with 8 headlights... mainly due to having amber driving lights to retain the good-ol' American look the police love.

i went to pepboys and saw these led strips 15" for $20 each so i bought two cuz i always wanted to try this out. Extremely simple
1. disconnect the turn signal and take out the bumper light
2. slide the strip into the socket for the bulb and align it to the bottom of the bumper light (try a dry fitting first)
3. You'll have some extra so you can easily just snip it off to fit right
4. I then drilled a little hole on the opposite side of the bumper light to pull through the wires for the led strip
5. The strip comes with a 3m double side tape on the back
(i tried to stick the strip in the back part of the bumper light and didnt come out as nice)
6.So what i did was get a litte tube of liquid nails and put it on the front side of the strip where the LEDs actually show and slid it through the hole and and aligned it straight
7. now you may get a little glue on inside and it will look ugly hence why i threw a strip of tint on there to cover it up and you can never tell the difference.
8. Last but not least i spliced the parking lights wires and connected the strip to them and that was it

Hope you like and works out for you too
