So yea, I wake up to go into Manhattan this morning and I look at my car...
Yea, someone broke my back windshield glass!!! Some kids with pellet guns or some shit shot my car or something like that and broke it! Freakin Spring Break! Nothing was stolen at least cause I have an expensive ass CD player in there. And yea...I don't have insurance on my glass! YES! I ROCK! So yea...
Anyone know of an alternative to fixing this? No junk yards have it, called around Long Island. I got a quote of 1100!!! Labor included, I was like, ARE U KIDDING ME?!?! Maybe like a clear plastic covering or something? ARGH! and it's supposed 2 rain! I need 2 go buy a tarp!
Thanks for any help!

damn...that sucks i cant believe it cost 1100. That would have sucked if I had gotten my windows smashed cus last time some stupid kids hit every car down my street and stopped at my car because i walked out of the house. But my car has been egged 5 times already
Stupid kids :ar15:

For $1100 that is pretty expensive, it sounds like Rallye is charging you and I don't even think they will charge that much. Rallye outsources windshield work though. They'll move your car to another place to get it done.

Just a thought, but if you have full coverage, drop your comp deductable down to 100, its actually pretty cheap to lower your comp deductable (the collision deduct. pays higher price to lower)...that way, at most if crap like this happens, you just have to pay the hundred bucks at the most. I know places around here pay your 100 deductable. It sucks that happened, I feel for you. I have my stereo stolen out of my last car, and it was in the garage, but it wasnt locked.

So yea, after I get this dude, gonna go change my battery, distributor cap, and spark plug. And I need a tranny flush, heh. Haven't learned 2 do that one yet though.
Anyway, yea...there goes my money for new speakers.... =(

I go to uconn and the night after the men and women won the NCAA championships, someone celebrated by throwing a stone thru my back window!!! Its gonna run me about $350 to replace the glass but another 120 to replace the 2 moldings that they also damaged...Thats $500 damn dollars :banghead: Ughhhhhhhh.....
had my windshield taken out by a golf ball awhile back, it was pretty messed up. called and got a few quotes from 800-1k to replace it. luckily the golf course decided to pay for it. but yah our rear windshields are super expensive due to the defroster and the antenna. good luck.
In regards to your Rear Window Issue, you may want to try driving to the corner of Atlantic Avenue and Liberty Street in Richmond Hill its about a 20 minute drive from Manhattan providing there is no traffic, over there they are cheap as hell and probably have a way of obtaining the rear window that you need and shouldnt be a problem in installing it, they do it right on the premisis, i believe its across the street from a Exxon or Amoco gas station.
A couple of years back I had 3 of my windows blown out on my previous Accord I had and they were power windows, they charged me 120 installed. It worked for me, it was used windows, but as long as I could see out of them and there were no scratches I was cool with it.
Good luck on your search.

I took pix of it...but yea...they're just chillen on my comp.
