hello again...

I did the rewiring as the instruction... tap the red w/ blue wire with the red w/ silver wire together, this is what i get:

I have the fog lights on constantly unless the switch in the off position. In other words, the parking lights don't have to be turned on for the fog to turn on. I don't know if I did anything wrong. There are four red wires in the bundle.

1. Red w/ silver dots.
2. Red w/ blue stripe... more red than blue
3. Blue w/ red stripe... more blue than red
4. Red w/ dark green stripe.

Of course, I connected the red w/ silver with red w/ blue (more red one)

Tell me if i did it incorrectly.

Thank you much.

I double check the way I did it. It's right. I don't know if it would be bad for my battery or not. The fog light can be turned on and off just like the head lights with its switch. So it has its own power supply.

I still have the wires connected. Let's me know as soon as you can please.

hey Maxx, sorry I didn't get a chance to check tonight but I will tomorrow. It's not bad for your battery BTW, all the other lights come on without the key anyway but I'll still check it out for you.

hey guys...

yeah, the fogs won't stay on if the highbeams are on... so it's still okay with that part.

I'm going to post the pictures in a few minutes. I need to FTP them to my school server real quick.

I mean after you modified the wiring, fog won't stay on at high beam? Thanks

Thanks Maxx, by any chance, do you have the 96 2.5TL service manual, because I am using a 92 vigor service manual to do my re-wiring, and on that manual, if hi-beam is on, it will interupt the grounding of the fog relay grounding, and the color code of the grounding wire that show on the manual is different from the one I got. I think if I can find that wire and ground it to the frame, it will bypass the high-beam shut off.

let me get this straight.. you want your fog lights to stay on, even with the high-beam on? I don't think you have to do that, how often do we use our high-beam anyway?

That's what I want, fog light on with the high-beam, I use my high beam quite often on some isolated area that don't have street light. more often than fog with parking light.

lol - if you switch to high beam, then half switch back to low (but hold the arm towards you), you can have high beam+fogs on a stock! Probably not the best way to go about it...

Speaking of, I asked this before and never got a clear answer - anybody have a service manual, and can tell me how to disable daytime running lights (Canadian models). I'd like to add a switch (so I can still pass inspection!)

Hey whats up bro. Dont spend $240 on a new switch. Order it HERE for much less. I'm pretty sure the wires were in the center bundle. Where in Brooklyn are you from?

Where do you purchase your service manual? Or was it one of those Chiltons-type manuals you got? I've been meaning to get me a service manual, but couldn't find it anywhere.
