arrite got some questions :x

i am looking to get a system, rims, and clear bumper lenses for my baby. but cant decide what to do first :\
this sat. i am gettin a sony xplod 800wat 4 channel for 125 ( new )
and i would like to get 2 12's and a pretty decent box with installation all this for a little over 400.. i need help picking out the 12 's. I can get 2 bazooka EL series 12's for 150, they hit pretty hard when i was listenin to them..
1) are these bazookas any good ??
2) w/ the limited space in my trunk ( i always have my golf clubs in there ) would i still be able to fit my clubs in there ?
3) ^ should i just get 1 15 ?
4) should i get a new face ? i have been told that my speaks will suck until i do..

now my brakes are squeelin like a ***** and this is really pissin me off. i took them to a trusted mechanic and he said my pads were fine and that it was just dust and dirt makin them squeel.
4) can i powerwash my brakes to get that **** off ?
5) how can you remove rust from the brakes .. b/c if i get rims its gonna be ugly

arrite now for my last section
RIMS ! -
ive been lookin at the giovanni corsicas for quite some time now, 96TL sent me pics with them on his ride and i have loved them ever since but he said his chipped ?? they arent chrome either
6) should i get the gios the are 215 a wheel then tires are like 440
7) should i go with a cheaper brand with same style ?
8) is icw a good brand ?
9) the 2.5 is 4 lugs right ?

tre,

I have never been a big fan of Bazookas bass tubes. They sound unnatural and fake to me.

If space in the trunk is an issue, I would go with a JL Audio or a similar speaker box. They are designed to slam w/o taking up a lot of space.

In regards to brake dust, they make brake cleaners that you just spray on. Check out any autostore or automotive section.

Hope it helps,

you have to get an aftermarket head unit before you get speakers or subs. Well you dont HAVE TO but its easier that way. As for subs...get some good subs that can handle lots of watts. maybe some JL audios? Diamond audio? Image dynamics? tubes are okay if you want that "surround sound" or just a little thump kinda deal but if you want the ear bleeding system, then get some good components and a good sub. I hear one 12" JL w's sound like 2 15's.... its up to you! besides, you were thinking about getting some wheels so im sure you have enough money for a head unit and some speakers. which ever floats your boat..

tre i had 2 10" rockford fosgate hx2's they handle like 500 watts rms the reason i got them is because of the load that they can handle. i have them for sale ill sell them both for 180 + shipping.
i agree with TLBALLER in the fact that diamond has good subs but i personally dont like JL (very good sub but there is no way to tell if it is a w-0 w-1 w-3 w-6 by the cone) i dont thinkit should be like that they should have different styles but im not jl so ...

if you want a good 12" sub without paying too much check out the Alpine Type R's... they cost less than $200 each and they pound hard!
listen to them, you'll be really impressed

or if space is an issue.. go with kickers... they fit anywhere... even the solobarics

but the main issue is sound... and its got a lot to do with the box its in.. so make sure you have someone really good to do it..
