Anyone use Splitfire Spark plugs?

I have a 1998 3.2TL
I've replaced the plugs with Splitfire's and it takes longer to start.
It was gapped to .044.

Anyone used these plugs before? I didn't notice the car taking this long to start before.

If it's the plugs, what plugs do you use?

i guess if u talk to a hundred guys u will get a hundred different answers. i had reservations about changing my plugs too but it was a small gamble. $5.40 x 5. compare that to an exhaust sys. that will run about $300-$500 that may or may not work.

FYI- the Acura dealership said they found that most people's cars ran best on stock plugs (I was inquiring about replacing them with the Acura Platinum ones)

BTW- I've just recently installed the clear-corners and the inspire tails. Pics and a how-to coming soon (I made holes for the 2nd set of reds)

Anyone know where I can purchase NGK Platinum plugs?

It's odd that the Splitfire doesn't start as quickly as the old stock plugs so I'd like to go back to stock however I can't seem to find them around here.

I tried Autozone and Kreger or something like that but they do not carry them.

I tried Curritos Acura and they wanted $102.00 plus tax for six stock (NGK Platinum) plugs.

That's too much IMO.

If anyone knows where I can purchase NGK Platinum?
Any recommendations would be appreciated, I live in Los Angeles, CA

I could only find one place that sells the NGK plats that fits into the Acura TL 3.2 via google.com

http://www.clubplug.net/retail_laser_ngk.html

http://www.aitsafe.com/cf/add.cfm?us...x.html&units=1

It's sold in a box of 4 so I need to order 2 boxes (8 plugs) at about $90 bucks plus $9.95 shipping.

Comes out to about $97.59

Maybe I should belly up to $100 bucks for spark plugs since they're both come out about the same.

FYI:
the stock model number of the plug is PFR5L-11

for this trouble, i would rather just get another type like bosch. i am using bosch plats and i dont feel any degradation in performance.
