Another O2 Sensor question?????

Alright, I've been beating a dead horse here on this topic I know...... So I bought the universal bosch sensor, installed it behind the cat... No problems, I hooked up the wiring per the instructions but I'm still getting the code..... I don't think I wired it right though, I have (2) white wires, (1) grey, (1) black.... Now the factory connector has (2) blacks, (1) green, (1) white... But the other side of the connector that is under the seat has the colored striped wires... This is where I got confused... Any one have a pic or details on the wiring of a universal Bosch O2 sensor??? Thanks in advance...

I used universal one for the front and the color matched.
After you copnnected the sensor, did you clear the code?
If you did n ot, you may have to reset it.

No avail on the fix.....

Cleared the code and then it came back, I'm pretty sure that I wired it up wrong... Does anybody do there own repairs here, or just add bling to their rides.... Are there any other forums that have a technical or repair section????? All I need is a pic or details of the color wires that the connector connects to..... If you have replaced your O2 sensor with a universal one after the cat please respond.... I'm dying to get rid of this CEL.....

call your Acura dealer. It is covered under warranty.
I had mine fail. Took to dealer and had it replaced for free.

O2 Sensors

I replaced mine back in Feb but I used an original equipment sensor so I didn't have to deal with the wire color issues. Now the right side primary is bad....ugh

I think the lack of replies here means I'll pay a little extra for the OEM again to keep it simple.

Man, I didn't even see this thread. It could be that the Bosch had different uses for each wire. Do you have a diagram for the Bosch sensor?

~Cheers~

I finally got it figured out.......... As to the lack of replies here I figure that you guys are into more bling than actual fixes..... And to "ohessyou" I guess that you got more $$ than I do so go and buy the OEM ones and pay twice as much as I did......lol

The diagram that came with the sensor was pretty vague, (2) white wires, (1) Black and (1) green.... And the colors that connector goes to have (2) blacks, (1) Grey & (1) Green..... So its only a combination of which goes where, well after about 4 beers I got thinking a little clearer and started swapping each one of the whites & black....

On a scale of 1-10, this has to be a 2....... I didn't even have to take exhaust shield off for the install..........

Regards....

I didn't even see this thread until yesterday when ohessyou bumped it! Anyhow, glad you got it to work, took me awhile to fix a similar issue on my m8's Accord. We ran a wire trace and still couldn't figure out what was wrong, until I saw that the OEM o2 sensor was shorting on the tranny. Swapped with a half length Bosch one and it worked a treat on the first go.

~Cheers~
