I have a 98 TL 3.2 with 112,000 miles. Same problem as I have been reading here with the starter. Turn the key forward it clicks. Release the key it clicks. try it several times and the car might start. I've consulted a few mechanics and they believe the starter.

One place quoted me $740 to replace. Another guy said $600...
That's a lot of money...

How difficult is it to remove and replace?

What are the steps to remove the starter?

Should I do this myself (very little knowledge of car repairs)?
