I was wondering if an intake such as http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/97-03...QQcmdZViewItem
would do anything or am I better off using the stock air filter. I dont have the money to spend on a higher end one right now. If I get get an upgrade for this price to do something then I might consider. Thanks for any advise.

 

with the right filter and the right tube size yes it will. the only thing that i would worry about is fitment. and the quality of the tube and bracketts

 

keep the $30 and save up for something better (Secret Weapon). ebay stuff is crap and generic.

that doesn't look like the right fitment for our generation TL... and it says it fits 97-03... which is impossible..

 

That's what I was going to say. 97 starting for the CL til 03 for the TL, with the TL starting in 99.
