Yes, you can just remove the ABS motor fuse in the engine compartment. By doing this you will only have normal braking.

I want to take the motor out and repair it. I have been driving with that fuse pulled already.

Many faults on ABS modulator are not repairable. Leaking oring on the accumulator/modulator connection, leaking body plugs, or leaking reservoir are about all that can be repaired.

Good news is there is a good supply of used modulators for <$100 and maybe <$50. Try car-part.com and look near your zip code. Insist on a "working part garuntee" as the yard will have no way of knowing whether a pulled unit is good or not.

Unit can be pulled by disconnecting electrical and hydraulic connections and loosening mounts. Get a flare tubing wrench (10mm) to loosen the tubing nuts. An open-end 10mm is likely to round them.

good luck

Is that what that "buzzing "sound is? Get it about every 25 seconds for about 5 min, then the abs light comes on.

Yes, it is cycling trying to maintain pressure. Your ABS pump is probably leaking somewhere.

Is there a common spot for the leak internally? Is it rebuildable?
