Then revs back up but it is driving me crazy cuz it is just so weird the car is so post to rev up then u put it in gear the tires burn out then ur up to speed right the car is not so post to rev back down after u burn out? Something is going on with my car and i really have no clue or is it just our cars? Any comment would be nice.

Burnouts are not good at all for the car.

Your tranny will hate you and on you quick.

Brings back memories of when I was 16 w/ my first car, a Corolla RWD automatic. I would rev it up in neutral and slam it into low w/ the steering wheel cranked a bit to one side to get an anemic but fun fish-tailed burnout. At the time I always wondered why this car lasted my sister 5 years and me only one, but I don't wonder anymore. That damn Toyota was tough, but not tougher than my overt abuse. Doubt if our TLs are anywhere near as tough as those Old School Toys and us being FWD what the hell is the point of a burnout?

OP sounds like your tranny may well be on the way to being broke.

Brett, it's the way YOU are treating your car that is making it shit. Neutral drops are terrible, and if your car can't do a standing burnout, don't try.

To answer your original question, the RPMs do drop after your tires get traction, or the GEARS change. Remember, you've got an auto.

Here's a vid of a burnout:
3.5TL Burnout

No brakes, no neutral drop, just mashing the gas while pre-loading for half a second.

~Cheers~

I put it in neutral 3 times the whole time i have had this car im pretty damn sure that that did not fuck my car up cuz it still drives the same all i was asking is why the rpms went back down after the car was done buring out.

I don't know how many times I have to say it, but that clip I wasn't even racing you.

You've beaten me before, and I've never said otherwise.

Haha... your definition of a non-shitefull car would be anything you can dog out and treat like shit?

You burn out in scrapers. Scrapers = cheap cars bought for $200 and slap on some $2000 rims to make them look better. Out here they're typically buicks with tints and audio.

You don't burn out in VIP cars...

Personally, I never burnt out anything front-wheel drive... rear-wheel is legit. I only burn out rent-a-cars. ^_^

*ahem*.... I'm the dumbass for labellig our cars "shit" for not being so easy to treat them like shit? TL = Touring Luxury you ignorant sack of... well, I'm not gonna use the same word over and over. They DID answer your question. If you knew about cars, you'd realise a front-wheel-drive, automatic transmission car is not ideal for burnouts. Read between the lines.

Oh, and thank you for spelling out "your a fucking dumb ass" in possesive form... Yes, you are my dumb ass... dumb ass.

You're not "so post" [supposed] to burn these cars out, and even if we wanted to... you obviously don't know how to.

-Your superior.... because you're the dumb ass
