I'm in Western Canada. The TL is a really good winter car. The auto climate control runs the A/C compressor to keep the windows from fogging up in defrost mode. It drives reasonably well too.

TL 2.5 in TOronto
Hey, I just started using my TL 2.5 for the winter too. It snowed pretty badly the other day, but I had a fun time zooming through. I have Pirellis and they seemed to have gripped the snow pretty well. Braking with ABS was also awesome in one scenario
The car starts very cold, and seems to eat much more (MUCH MORE) fuel with the heater. With proper warmup, its ok again.
ABS light comes on and stays on sometimes, happened cuz of the snow, but it may be time to get things checked out.

the abs still kicks in when needed.
