I just got a '96 2.5 TL. It's fully loaded-sun roof, spoiler, tinted windows etc....

It also has the gold emblems both in front and in back. I haven't seen any other TL's(same year) with the gold emblems. Did Acura make a premium package for the '96 2.5TL? The car has only had one previous owner(an old man) that only put 55k miles on it. Do you think he put the gold emblems on?

 

Yes, the Premium package on the 2.5 did exist, it gives you leather seats (heated too), moonroof. The gold package was a dealer accessory. 55k miles isn't bad. Sounds like he basically sold it once it went off warranty. Old people are the best ones to buy cars from

Yeah and I got it for a steal too! $10,995. It's my first(what I think is)luxury car.

 

ya I had heard about the premium after I got my TL. Mine isn't premium but I got the leather. I don't have heated seats.

 

Does the premium increase the value?.....if so aprox how much?

 

It probably does. But no idea on price diff.

Yeah....the heated seats are the only thing I'm missing too.

haha yah the wood grain is fake. but you can buy real ones out there.

i bought under the same situation. retired old man, but a 3.2 premium for $10,800 with 57K on the engine. heated seats and heated mirrors like i'll ever use them in southern arizona! couldnt love this ride any more. i havent driven my 92 integra for weeks.

 

Sounds pretty sweet! Too bad you can't use it. Great deal too!
