Hi everyone, I have enjoyed reading your forum as a guest for some time now. I now need some help with my car. It is a stock 2.5TL with 121,000 miles. When driving down the road with the Auto Climate control set the blower seems to have a mind of its own. I understand this is the idea for Auto control but this thing has gone crazy. The air will blow very slow and then kick in full blast then shutdown and then full blast again. It is very annoying. It started a few months ago off and on. Now it seems to do it more often after about an hour of driving. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I do not want to be held hostage by the dealership if I can avoid it.

try changing the temperature setting that might help...

 

It does it at any temperature. It will also do it if I use the A/C in manual mode. Very inconsistent blowing speeds. It has to be something that controls the speed of the fan because it doesn't make a difference if it is in auto or manual mode.

look through these thread, call acura and ask for service, ask them if it is common to replace the climate unit for these sypmptoms (call 3 or 4 acrua service to get good advice) get the chilton book for our acura and get a climate unit on off ebay before you spend $$ at dealership. My 2cents
