blue enough to get busted by the narco-police? i believe the 8000k and the 6000k bulbs use the same ballast. so i could always change the bulb if needed.....

Let us know how the lights turn out, i was thinking of getting the 6000 but if the 8000 makes a big difference i think i might get the eight. How much did you pick the 8000 Hid set for?

I guess it depends where you live. Here in NYC alot of people have HIDs so cops will probably think its stock. I never got pulled over for mine. They're VERY purple, not blue.

lets hope its not too noticeable for the cops to mess with you...you dont have a legal foot to stand on if you get pulled over by them since the 8000K are NOT DOT-certified

One thing that worries me about HIDs is that someone told me if you cause an accident because you blinded someone you can be held liable.

i think i would come down to the DOT certified issue...if the 6000K aren't, then i could see where you could be held liable.

i guess if the vehicle was not originally equiped w/ HID. also many of our HID-type bulbs, altezza-type tail lamps, exhaust, steering wheels (momo, grant, GT....ect) unless the product clearly states DOT approved. not sure about the inspire tails though if it is approved for US it should state DOT.....it's all part of the fun in tuning cars:yack:
