I drive a 1998 2.5TL Acura. Recently got into a fender bender and damaged my trunk lid. Thanks to an earlier post in this site about ACura parts being sold in Ebay. I found a 3.2TL trunk lid (same color) for $200 shipped.

Seems to be a great deal. But just wanted to know if 2.5TL and 3.2TL have the same trunk lid. I called a dealer and he said it is not possible. Checked with a couple of local mechanics and they were confident it will fit fine. What do you guys think? Thanks for your help!

From what I know, there would be bad fitment issues, just find a hood for the 2.5 at a salvage yard.. it's alot cheaper; no more than $150 in the color you want.

 

Joe, he said trunk, not hood, m8. Anyhow, it should be the same as only the front-end was different.

3.2 and 2.5 have identical body panels from the front doors to the rest of the rear.. the only differences are all up front... fenders, hood, bumper, etc..

 

pick it up...
