jist bought it,,wont shift well have to feather it to get it to shift,,,,,,and its getting about 3 or 4 miles per gallon. Help

 

Did you test drive the vehicle before you bought it?
if it's not shifting correctly, it's not good news.

 

It sounds like it could be two different problems. On the engine side, it either needs a thorough tune up or somethings wrong with some sensors or ECU. 3-4mpg would likely result in some serious codes from the O2 sensors. Any codes?
