2.5 Fuel filter bottom bolt Hard to remove!

Hey guys, was doing some maintenance on my 96 tl 2.5. Replaced tranny fluid and filter, PCV valve, and all 3 three serpentine belts.

The job I thought was going to be easy to do was the fuel filter. I removed the top bolt and disconnected top line. I read the DIY here and did not remove metal band around filter. I then used a 14mm wrench to try and turn the bottom nut and WOW! That thing is on there super tight. I sprayed some Aerokroil that has always worked good for me in the past and let it sit for a few hours. THen I went and tried again and still wont budge.

Any of you have any tricks to getting that thing off. My car is at a standstill right now, till i get this new filter in.

Thanks

Yes, I tried the cheater pipe and there was so much tension I had to stop i didnt want to damage the line. Its almost like it wants to pull the whole bracket assembly with it.

I sprayed the fitting bolt down with Aerokroil and I am going to let it sit overnight, hopefully in the morning it will budge.

Give the bolt a few taps with a wrench after spraying it and try again in the morning.

ok well woke up this morning to give this another try after soaking bolt overnight in Aerokroil.
I tried at first with just a 14mm wrench and nothing. I then reluctantly added my cheater bar to it and gave it a try, eventually the bolt did come loose.
Thank god, now I can move forward. So for anyone who does this in the future, if you cant get it loose let it soak overnight with a good lubricant then give it a try.
