1st gen fully imports

1st gen fully imports

the first gen tl's from 95-98 .... are all of them 100% made in Japan? i know that our cars were one of the last models that were 100% made in japan but i didn't know that it was only the models before 98'.

i was at work and this guy was saying that only the models that were made before 98' were 100% Japan made. is that true?? does anybody know?

All 1st gen TL's were made in Japan. No exceptions.

Your VIN number tells you where the car was manufactured.
Check this link its breaksdown the VIN number.

yes it's true. 1st gens were all made in japan. 2nd and 3rd gen TL's are made in america.

According to my shop manual, here's what it says:

JH4UA364*TC000001

6: 4-Door Sedan/4-Speed Automatic
4: Vehicle Grade: 4=Without Sunroof, 5=With Sunroof (Premium Package)
*: S=1995 MY, T=1996 MY, V=1997 MY, W=1998 MY
C: Factory code: Saitama Factory in Japan (Sayama)
000001: Serial Number
