1997 Vs 1996 Engine

I need to replace the engine in a 1996 Acura TL 3.2. I've talked to a guy who has a 1997 engine with 32k miles. Will the 1997 fit the 1996 without major hassle. Any info appreciated. Thanks

It should fit perfect. Just bolt it in. You'd have a problem with a '99 engine (but the block would be the same).

Any Acura Legend from 1991 to 1995 engine will fit in a 95 - 98 TL. The 99+ TL engines are TOTALLY different. They are mounted across the engine bay, they are a J-series instead of a C series (C series is Legend, 3.2 TL from 95 - 98, NSX and RL)
