17 inch rims

I was wondering does 17 inch rims make the car handle better and hows the ride?
I've been looking for 17 inch type s wheels so if anyone who has those, how are they?
Does 04 rims fit on our year?

I have to 17" Type S rims, and they marginally improve handling. This is mostly felt during turns, acceleration and braking. I found that the tires affect this more than anything since I replace the Michelins with Yokohamas. However, this does degrade the ride a little bit.

04 rims will not fit. They are too fat (wide?).
