I started doing my own oil changes and the like and would like to turn off the light. I searched for other threads on this but could not locate one. Any help appreciated.

There's a detailed explanation on how to reset the indicator in the TSX owner's manual. Have you tried that?

Maitenance Required: Says "MAINT REQ'D" light that reminds you it's time to change the oil. Flashes for 10 seconds at 6000 miles since last reset. Comes on steady at 7500 miles. Reset by holding down select/reset and holding them while you turn on the ignition.
