Hey all RL lovers, I have a stock 96 RL and I just wondering if the RL with 145k engine and transmission will handle a turbo at 7psi? I know, I know some of you will ask why the f* you put a turbo on a RL! Well this is my second project car, and my first one was the integra lol... totalted I just love the RL so much, but it too weak and its need more power!! I was thinking about the turbo, but I might adfraid the engine can't handle the extra power. So I have to ask you guys is it safe to put a turbo kit running at 5-7 psi before I order the turbo thx alot BTW I use the PS3 browers to write this post, now back to MGO

 

Tranny can't handle it. You need a manual transmission for that.

You're better off honing/extruding the manifold and doing some exhaust work

 

I wish it would work. You gotta make power the old way with an RL. I wish there was a chip, or computer program for the car.

Port and polish heads, runners, intake manifold, throttle body.

Get a custom cold air intake, custom exhaust piping, and I think they even have a crank pulley out for it.

All I can think of.

it's already a sexy car in stock form, I'd just keep up with maintenance.

 

It's sad to hear the RL can't be turbo yea LOL the maintenance is a much.
BTW what is a runners? Man this car is a pain in the ASS to mod, I've try looking for parts a long time and nothing
