Timing belt and water pump!!!!!!!!

Ok check this out...I found out that this particular Car X has a winter time special for Timing Belt and Water Pump. I called there to confirm and he says that for 2000 Acura RL, they will replace with OEM Acura parts timing belt and water pump for $450.00! No FOCKING JOKE...Call there your self and find out. I know people who have taken their cars to this car x for a long time and they do good work here too. Eventhough I only have 90,000 miles, I think i am going to get it done so I don't have to worry about it for another 100k miles. When I called acura dealership, they said $1400.00...

FOCK YEAHHHHHH BOOOOOOY! what are your thoughts? Call yourself to find out. Car X - Mundelein, IL 847-949-9500

i have an 02 with 85k. An Acura dealer told me that I should replace my timing belt because its 4 years old......... *seriously* I had it in for some warranty work, so I guess they felt they had to try to make money on something

The service department is the "bread and butter" for most dealers now days. Not to many RL/TL/MDX's flying off the lots with this economy. MY 2000 RL maintenance schedule calls for the timing belt job at 105k miles or 84 months so I would think they are rushing you unnecessarily. Good thing you didn't "bite."
