It is very nice to have that!

Question: from the post,
To tune the intake system volume and length for optimum torque at any rpm, the RL uses a three-stage intake system. To enhance cylinder charging by making use of resonance effects in the intake tract, the engine uses a longer intake tract at low rpm, transitions to a mid-length tract in the mid-range, and then is opened completely for high-rpm running, letting the inertia effect of the moving column of air in the system enhance cylinder filling at higher revs. The system has been redesigned and retuned for the special low-rpm/high-torque tuning emphasis of the RL engine.
Did you wipe this out with your CAI?

No, the CAI doesn't affect this. Similar setup was used on the NSX, Legend, Vigor and Prelude

Looks very good! Some pictures would help nicely though.

For the 03 it doesnt really state this, but not only are 3 different wood trim colors made available, but it was also the first year a REAL wood laminate was used and not just wood like plastic.

SO if any of you 03 owners ever need a replacement wood center console or wood center instrument panel cover you will only be able to get one from an 03. 2002 and below are completely different colors, while on the 04 only the center console part is swapable and not the instrument surround.

Oh and all years the window switches are just wood look plastic. They were never laminated with real wood.

Old Hatch, the reviews I read of the 1999 RL said that it had real wood on the interior. Even the TL review mentioned it. Edmunds appears to have recently taken down its reviews of Acuras older than 2005, but that is where I saw it, in the comparisons.

The area around the shifter appears to be wood in my '02.

The stuff around the navigation/radio/HVAC controls isn't wood though. It can actually be bent.

I have actually cut into a center console from an 02 and an 04. I can personally say that the 02 center console had no wood in it. While the 04 did. (03's are the same as 04's) They are some sort of faux wood print I believe. The same way the door window switches arent real wood.

I remember reading a thread here that they stopped using real wood laminates again in the newer RL's (like 07+) from someone that bought some dash parts.

This really has nothing to do with feedback, but I personally never considered pre 99s and 99-04 the same body style.
I understand it's the same car but to me I guess the updates between 98 and 99 were more than just a face lift

Lots of changes, its almost like the '99-'03 RLs were Generation 1.5

The '04 had quite a few changes too, both obvious and some subtle (wiring setup etc)
