One of your seatbelt buckles is bad, the dealer should replace it free of charge

if it comes on again, which mine sometimes does and nothing is wrong, put your key in the ignition, turn it to where you can roll the windows up and down and hold the select button and the trip odometer reset button down at the same time for about 10-15 seconds. It resets the SRS light.

I had the same problem. My SRS light lit up because my battery was almost completely ready to give up on me. Check to see if you need a new battery.

Um, negative. There are alot of things the SRS light can come on for. If it's a seatbelt buckle, it's also not covered under warranty.

Um, negative, again. Good luck resetting the SRS light like that. Maintenance? Maybe.

Definitely possible. If it detects low voltage, it can throw a code causing that light to come on. Get it to the dealer and see what they say.

It could be a number of different things. I'd recommend taking it to the dealer and let them diagnose the problem. You might get lucky and have it covered under warranty, as these vital safety systems many times are.

Truth: Seatbelts are covered under lifetime warranty.

another truth: when my light came on, I took it to a dealer and they told me it was the seatbelt buckle and they promptly replaced it for free.

myth: I doubt if it has anything to do with the battery.

A seatbelt is covered.. a seatbelt buckle switch, however, is not. Maybe your dealer took care of it under a good-will.

My guess would be the OPDS unit. We hardly see buckles fail on RLs and low voltage codes we don't normally see as often.

I had the same problem last year, and had it fixed for free by my dealer under Acura's lifetime seatbelt warranty.

Try replacing the battery if you haven't.

Might be cheaper to have the battery tested rather then buy a new battery to find out that it doesnt solve the problem.
