02 RL navi takes awhile for it to warm up in cold climates. When started its just a white screen and stays that way for about 10min till the car gets warmer.

Is that normal? I dont recall the 97 we had doing that.

 

10 minutes is a LONG time for it to do that, so I would say not normal. All the other navis that I have seen and used (from the TSX, TL, 05' RL, FX35 - and three aftermarket installed ones in my civic and dads ls400) would be a little darker until it warmed up, but you could see. You are probably within warranty period if it's an 02', right? Ask the dealer to replace.
