rear view mirror
I just bought a 2000 RL off Ebay. I t arrived with a bad rear view mirror. What mirrors will work as a good replacement. I don't need auto dimming feature. thanks jeff

Congratulations on your purchase.
You posted in the wrong forum. This is for the 2nd Gen RL (2005-2009). You should be able to get a used replacement pretty inexpensively. Try ebay or car-part.com or lkqonline.com as possible sources.

This is a black mirror for a TL, RDX, CL but is the EXACT replacement for a RL auto dimming mirror without on-star or homelink.
The RL mirror is $474, the TL mirror is $99 retail from the dealer. If you can stand black rather than a color which coordinates with the interior, this is the best way to go. I bought my TL mirror from Oakland Acura which gives a 20% parts discount thru eStore. I have seen this mirror on eBay for $75+shipping.
I installed mine in 30 min. You have to be careful as the clip that holds the mirror is glued to the windshield and if overstressed will break the windshield = $1500.
If you are worried about windshield damage, a dealer mechanic should not charge more than 20-30 min. labor to R&R the mirror.
