The radio controls (volume) stopped working on my RL

Any advice as to how to proceed ? Anyone else had similar problems ?

 

what year? My 2001 has problems just because the stupid volume control on the steering wheel literally moves the volume knob up and down and that gets stuck. Ive heard of people who had to replace the entire stereo because of that .

 

That's your chance to go for a new head unit if you're out of warranty

 

my RL is 2002 and it is the Steering Wheel controls that causes the problem

 

A new headunit is on order if your remote volume controls have died. Just replaced the head unit in a 2000...ordered the factory headunit from Del Ray Acura online. I believe it was $1100 or so. I ordered the part and then took the part in to my local dealer, who proceeded to break the wood trim when they were installing the new head unit. That cost the dealer $900 to replace.
