Probably need new shocks

Hello everyone. I am new here (obviously). I own a 1997 Honda Legend (Acura RL) in Okinawa. I have a bit of a dilemma. When I do a slow right turn, like from a stoplight, the left front corner dives down far enough to rub the wheel on the wheelwell. So, since it is a 97, I figure that I need new shocks, or struts if this is what it has. The problem is, if I get them from the Honda dealer here, it will cost me about 400 per corner if I want it with the springs too, or 320 without! That's just for stock. I have been scouring the interwebs looking for someplace that has suspension parts, shocks and springs specifically, but to no avail. I found this place in my travels on the net, so I figured it would be the best place to ask. Thanks for any help all of you can give me.

Thanks

I don't necessarily mind aftermarket. At the same time, I am not looking to make my nice comfortable cruiser ride like my RX-7 did when I put coilovers on it. Know what I'm saying? Everything I've found over here, which, suprisingly, isn't all that much, has been very expensive. Cheapest being about $1500 used...

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if the suspension (shocks and springs, not the rest of the components) from the TL is compatible with the RL? I ask because everywhere I look I see components for the TL, and every once in a while I will see some RL parts. Just a thought.

I have exactly the same year RL, and mine is doing the same thing. When I had the oil changed the last time, the service tech told me I had a bad strut.

I checked the links that were posted, but they were in Japanese. Are there any aftermarket suppliers in the states?

I wish I could help you, but I'm in Japan, trying to source parts from America, for a Japanese car. Ironic, huh?

Yeah, the links above were for Uriel to check out...

For us in the US it's HARD to get parts that are RL specific.... I talked to a company about springs before, but they said it had to be 3 months wait, and at least 10 people for a group buy... Kinda stupid.. but I can see why they do it, with so few people wanting to mod their RL's. I think our best bet is to try to get stuff shipped from Japan, where theres plenty available.
