PCV valve

Hi, I have a 96 with 167K on it and i'm about to get a tune up. Does anybody change their PCV valve yet? I haven't changed the PCV valve on my car yet so i don't know we really need to change them or not. Thank.

Is your idle consistent? If so, you probably don't need to change it yet.

My idle is very consistent and smooth, it doesn't jump all over the places. I just check the PCV valve is $5, I'll probably change out the old one just to be safe since it has been there for a long time.

Quick question, when do we need to change the power steering fluid? I check the manual and it didn't say anything about it. My fluid is black and between min and max level.

I've read online that the power steering fluid should never need changing, is this true?

I don't think Honda specifies any interval for PS fluid change, but you should change it at some point. I changed out mine with a turkey baster after 10 years and the steering noticeably lightened.

Thank, I think I should change it too, the fluid could be contaminated.
