Keyless Entry Remote Not working...

The RED LED just stays on. I took the remote apart and checked all the buttons and nothing seems to be the problem. Does anyone know what is going on? I can't lock or unlock the door nor the trunk... no panic either...

could very well be the remote itself. Sounds like something either blew out (resistor, diode, etc) or a wire is shorted in it. Look for a new one.

Good luck

Hello,
I purchased a 2002 Acura RL in October (no navigation if that matters). The person I bought it from no longer had the remote to unlock doors because he said had broken and he never got around to replacing it. I went online and purchased a replacement for $75 but was unsuccessful in getting it to program. The company sent me another one to try and I still couldn't get it to program either. I called the dealer to find out the part number for the transmitter thinking perhaps maybe it's the keyless transmitter that's faulty. The dealer said those don't usually ever go bad but not knowing what else to do I decided to go ahead and purchase one I found on ebay to swap out. After searching extensively, I came under the impression that the keyless remote module should be located behind the stereo but after pulling out the stereo I wasn't able to locate it. I'm really frustrated that can't find any information on my specific model with regard to this. I'm hoping someone on here might be kind enough to offer me some advice.

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME

Like I said I've tried two different remotes and it's not the battery. I wish it was that easy.
