About half the time, the dash light will blink, and evidently, the key is not being read. I'll cut the key off and remove it, and insert it and attempt to crank several times, and eventually it will read it and let crank.

Any thoughts as to waht is going on and how to fix it?

 

Could be the main relay. Do you have another key you can try? Or take an extra second or two after you insert the key but before you turn it.

 

This was a common problem on the older RL's. Next time it happens take the key out and flip it upside down. If it works the immobi receiver is going bad. I don't have a good explanation for the reason, I just remember when the Acura Service news came out for the problem
