Hi everyone, I’m new to this and I would like to get help on my 1998 Acura RL. I’ve had the car for 6 months and I’m looking to to fix its issues and one I have come across is the jerking back and the bad acceleration, at times it can take off but often it’s really slow at accelerating, what needs to be changed or fixed? Help please.

 

Sounds like fuel starvation. Will engine RPM's go up with throttle application with tranny in Park ?
Have you check fuel filter ( small black canister w/banjo nut ) between engine and brake booster just after engine firewall for plugging issues ?
If filter good, you may want to test fuel pump performance ( for flow volume and pressure ).
