HELP! No Speedometer + VSA + Engine + ! Lights On
Hi guys, I am really worried about my RL. I just bought the car, it's an '04 with 55k and it is in really great shape. I was driving the car all last week without any problems, the car sat unused over the weekend and I came back today and had some issues. Driving home for lunch the engine, VSA, and '!' lights come on followed by the Speedometer not functioning. All other gauges are working properly.
If I shut the car off and restart the VSA and '!' lights will turn off but engine light stays on, after 4 minutes of driving VSA and '!' come back. I dont know if this matters or not but last night my alam was going off for no apparent reason.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

check your speed sensor. think its on the tranny somewhere.
All those other systems are dependent on it so that would be my first guess.
have you tried going to an autoparts store to have them tell you what code its giving?

Heading there after I get out of work. I did some more searching and thats what I think it is. There's lots of Legends that have had the same complaint, and it all ties back to the flashing D4.

cool let us know. Its kinda odd that a speed sensor would fail this early though. I think 50k is past oem warranty, but you might get a goodwill fix from the local Acura dealer.

UPDATE: Drove the car home from work that day, the VSA light and blinking D4 went away, and speedometer was working, but check engine was still on. I figure I had a loose wire on the speed sensor, had the code checked, and sure enough thats what it was. Had the code cleared, hasn't come back since. Thanks for the help!
