HALP! Weird Steering Issue
HALP! Weird Steering Issue
ok guys, a weird steering issue just popped up over the 2 weeks.
When i make a right turn at an intersection and then straighten out to go down the road after the turn, the steering wheel stays cocked to the right like say at 1 o'clock but goes down the road straight for the most part. When i make left turns and straighten out, the steering wheel stays at 11 o'clock but drives down the road straight for the most part.
left tie rod has zero play and no movement. right tie rod has no up/down or left/right movement, but can be twisted clockwise and counter clockwise fairly easily... most of the bushings look fine, but i havent been able to check the steering rack bushings or the "compliance bushings" yet. just replaced the rear upper control arms, but the problem existed before, and still exists after. most of the visible rear bushings look fine, but i havent been able to get a look at the trailing arm bushing at the chassis.

wish i had the answer for you bro. mine would do this simply from hitting a nice bump in the road. recently changed my shocks and both front compliance bushings. after my last alignment it stills pulled on me. my rear support bar where the lower toe arms connect to has gotten mangled up over the years. such a bitch to change that out. running out of solutions though. the rear may be causing the front to pull.
