Post Differential Problems?

My 2002 RL has been making a high-pitched whining noise when in drive and under load. When coasting the noise goes away. I've also been noticing I have to use a lot more throttle to maintain a constant speed. Do you think my differential is going out? If it is, any idea on how long/how much to get it replaced?

Have you tried simply changing fluids?

It could be low or simply thinned out.

If you do it yourself it will literally only cost you about 20 bucks.

If you haven't already I'd drain and refill the tranny a couple times too.

Always start simple.
