DEAD TACH 1999 RL. Any ideas?

bought it this way. Also will need a hard drive for the nav. It died the day after I bought the car. I saw a guy selling a solid state drive for $100 shipped. I understand Acura will charge $700 and up at the dealer....

As far as the dead tachometer... The instruments are EXTREMELY delicate. If anyone has ever opened up the instrument cluster in your car and not put it back together properly, that could be the source of the problem. When I replaced the backlights in the instrument cluster, I accidentally tightened one of the conducting screws too much to where it actually broke off the conductor on the inside that the screw touches. Hopefully that is not the case with you because they can be expensive to replace. But, before messing with your cluster, I would check all the fuses to be sure.

Good luck!

Also, if you do take apart your cluster, the screws have to go back in the same place. Not the same EXACT screw, but the same exact type of screw.
