Crankshaft Position Sensor reliability?

98 RL 210k miles, about to replace timing belt, accessory belts, tensioners and water pump.

Since the timing belt must be removed to replace the CKP sensor, should I just replace it proactively now? It's not an inexpensive part at almost $100 from RockAuto.

Any feedback on the reliability of these sensors?

I also have a 99 Saab 9-5 wagon and those CKP sensors are notorious for failing. I've replaced mine twice in 260k miles.

Thanks!
