Car is showing TCS and ABS light

when i start the car nothing happens. reverse nothing happens. right when i put it into drive and head out the tcs light flashes and turn on, soon after that the ABS light pops on and while that is happening the car loses power untill it is done flashing to a stand still light
i think it might have something to do with the transmission?

Sounds like an ABS wheel speed sensor. Take it to Pepboys because Autozones code reader doesnt read the codes from an ABS sensor.

I went to pep boys and i had them check out the codes for my car. but they would not show up. they told me to have it diagnosed by a technician at the dealership.

ABS/TCS lights

Wheel sensor is exactly what I thought. Mine did the same thing. Mine did not cause any reduction in power but I can see where it could. If the wheel sensor is bad it will send a false signal to the traction control system which in turn will reduce power to the wheels thinking it is slipping. I was actually able to get the code straight from the car. There is a connector under the passengers side dash (right under the glove box). This connector can be jumped from one side to the other with a small piece of wire. After jumping the connector the ignition can be turned on and the "check engine" light will return a series of flashes which will indicate which of the 4 wheel sensors is bad. I was able to by a new one for around $120 and install it my self. I will see if I can find the details on the fix. I think they were located on the forum.
