I'm looking at an 2002 RL, is it possible to know if the check engine light was reset? Other than checking that the rear windows work, is there anything else common to look for?

 

I have an OBD scanner and I don't believe it will indicate if the CEL has been reset. As for things to look for: has the timing belt/water pump been done ($1000). Check the top of the radiator for hairline cracks.

 

Thanks, I was afraid of that. As it turned out there were more obvious problems on this one.
