brake lights not working

brake lights not working

hello every one a few days ago my dad gave me a rl that he bought crashed and he never finished it but yesterday I relized the brake light wernt working first I check all the bulds then I went to look for a fuse and couldn't find one for brake light can some one help me.

P.s. went my dad bought the the car they were working

Did you double check all the bulbs? Remove and inspect them, see if the wire is still intact. I think there is a fuse for it, you might want to check the fuse box under the hood. It is the little box next to the radiator hose. It is dark outside so i'm lazy to check it for you lol

I went through and and just checked all the fuses in the car with one of those 12 volt testers and found out that there's no power to high And low beam left and right I.think its 2 20 amp for the high and 2 10 aamp for the low. What can cause this

You checked the fuse box next to the engine right? Try to change out all the fuses for both the headlight and taillight.

Yup I check that one I put new fuses in there still no power come to the today I took the whole fuse box out I'm going to the junk yard in the morning to pick up a different one to see if that solves a problem

You might want to give the fuse box in the kickerpanel a try. It is next to your left foot. BTW, is the parking light on?

I think I found the problem. It look at a rat must have got in and I found some chewed up wires behind the back seat on the driver side and it just so happened that the green and white wire which is for the brake and was chewed all the way throught. Ill post a picture later
