"Brake Lamp" Indicator Light - Always on - Noticed for first time
Sorry I dont know proper terms for the lights!
First noticed this AM, the red "Brake Lamp" indicator in dash (mini car area) was on when I got in the car to head to work. Its a bit tough to diagnose brake light functions on your own, but it appears that the drivers side "active braking" light is not coming on when the brakes are applied. the "always on" brake lights are working, as are the reverse lights.
The funny thing is, we had our first snow in SW Ontario, and I started the car, then proceeded to start brushing the snow off. It was wet snow and my usual routine is to smack the back of the snow brush flat against the tire to knock the snow out of the bristles. Well I totally missed and half smacked the side of the wheel well, right where the metal trim starts.... my bad.
ANyways, I am just hoping I 'knocked' something loose... and was looking for some guidance as to how I could check the wiring or ground (i see is a common issue), any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jon

The brake light indicator under the little car picture means a bulb isn't coming on, it's just letting you know that one of your brake light bulbs is burned out. Try replacing the bulb, if that doesn't work it is possible that something got knocked loose.
