Alpine Stereo

I'm about to buy an 02 or 03 RL without Navi. I was thinking about replacing the stereo with the Alpine IVA-D310 video head unit. I was wondering if I need to replace the factory speakers as well. If anyone has changed their stereo system, please feel free to input.

Thanks

They do make an adapter that connects the Bose amp to the back of an aftermarket HU. This was an option for me when I swapped in an Alpine 9833. I believe the part was ~$100. But honestly, my recommendation is change out the rest of the system as well. The only hard part is custom install of the HU. Everything else is pretty easy. If you're going to add an aftermarket system, make sure to have the shop run your RCAs and remote wirte at least to the glove compartment so you don't have to get back there yourself.
