99 3.5 suspension options?
First of all, I got a 99 in white with just under 40,000 miles. No Nav.
I got a set of 17" rims (ASA AR1) with some Avon Tech 550 tires delivered this week (putting snow tires on the stock rims). I didn't notice when I ordered them but tirerack automatically selects a 225/50 17 tire for this rim (215/60-16 is stock).
I love the tires and the look, but the back tires rub in corners. Put a couple people in the back, and they rub a LOT. I don't know if it's the width, extra circumference, offset of the rim itself, or what. I THINK it's actually the fender contacting the outside edge of the tire. I found my rear suspension collapses pretty easy and to be honest the car has always been a little too "bouncy" for my taste anyways.
Anybody know of any suspension upgrades I might be able to do? I drive a lot so I don't mind spending a few bucks. Not having much luck w/google... any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there are any aftermarket suspension kits...maybe just springs?
As for the rims, those definetly shouldn't rub on your car. I was looking at 18" ASA AR1s...great rim IMHO, but even the 18" shouldn't rub.

Well I'm not disagreeing with you, they shouldn't rub... but unfortunately, they DO. I'm still unsure but I think it's the sacked-out rear springs. It's a bummer not being able to let anybody ride in back.
I found some info on other boards about using Tein Coil-overs for a TSX, I may go that way.

Not a problem, it's pretty much on point. I got 225-50-17's on my rims but they're aftermarket. Mine rub a bit but who knows if yours would? Trick would be to find out the difference in offset but unfortunately I don't know what it is on my rims.
Good luck! Or you could play it safe and get 215's which should work unless the offset on the TL rim is way off.

another quick question, 3 of the rims i got have tires on them which are in decent shape and kind of want to get whats left out of them. only problem is im not sure if the size of the tires would be a problem. they are 235-45-17 would I have any trouble having those on? and i can probably find a used tire that size on craigslist for the tireless rim.

Universal Air makes an Air Cylinder suspension and Air Runner makes an Air Bag suspension for the RL. If adjustability and ride quality are an issue these are the way to go. The cylinders will not ride as smooth as the bags will. I am not saying that they will ride bad though!
