Have the P1457 code, I have read about replacing the solenoid shut valve. where is this located ? and is the correct part number 17012-SV4-L31 ? Any help appreciated. I have a emissions test coming up.

Hey,

I recently dealt with this problem and its a real pain in the butt. The P1457 code is referring to the EVAP system (the thing that takes gas fumes from your tank and puts in in the engine). Under your front-driver's side wheel well take out the cover, it helps to jack your car up and take the wheel off. Once the cover is off you will see a black boxy canister looking thing, that's the evap canister. What we did to make it work was on top there were some valves and we took them off and cleaned them up because they were sticking earlier. If that doesn't work either your gas cap is loose or you have a leak in one of the steel lines that runs under the car and those are practically impossible to replace.
